For three years, I have been in China teaching Swing Dancing. Now I'm wandering yet again...

*cough*
Ack.. bird... flu... (cough)... wheeze....
No, I'm fine. Lately I've been mulling what to do about a job. I'm debating going back into IT, but I don't feel all that good about the idea right now. I've been getting a resume together, and I think it looks pretty good, but it reads something like this:
1994-2002: Computers, E Commerce, Consulting
2003-2005: Swing dancing, throwing parties, working in movies.
I'm having a hard time reconciling this! I'm going to put it together anyhow. For a while I thought to leave off the swing dancing thing entirely, but it's a two-year gap if I do that. So I included it and tried to emphasize the management and PR side of things.
The whole creative thing has been good, but I haven't managed to get into a good money situation. I keep getting these calls and offers to do work for things like 400rmb per day. That amounts to $US50. A good offer would be 1000rmb per day, which is about $US125. Any way you slice it, that's not going to cut the mustard.
But when I think about going back into the corporate world again, I blanch (sp?). 9 to 5 for the rest of forever. We'll see. I'm going to put my resume out today. I think it looks pretty good. Perhaps there will be a new opportunity. I've not yet run into.
